Flowmaster ADRL
2008 National Event Schedule
The Flowmaster American Drag Racing League presented by the National Guard announced its 2008 national event schedule, which features nine events and first-time visits to a number of facilities. The announcement was made at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in Orlando, Florida on December 7th 2007.
Among the highlights of the schedule are the Hushpower Dragstock V event in Rockingham, N.C. (the ADRL's biggest and oldest event), the AlphaTrade ADRL World Finals in Ennis, Texas (featuring the ADRL's Battle for the Belts championship eliminators), and the ADRL's first visits to Oklahoma, Michigan, and Maryland.
"With the help of marketing partners such as Flowmaster and the National Guard, the sky is the limit for the future of the ADRL, and I think our 2008 schedule reflects that," ADRL President Kenny Nowling said. "We're coming off a record-setting season for attendance, and I see no reason why that trend would not continue."
The ADRL's 2008 season opens March 7 at Houston Raceway Park and closes Oct. 25 at Texas Motorplex. In between, the ADRL schedule has one national event per month, with the exception of two events scheduled for July.

Event Schedule:
Thursday:
- Pit gates open at 2 PM
- Event parking for Professional (Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous and Extreme 10.5) and vendors 2 PM - 8 PM
Friday:
- Pit gates open at 8 AM
- Event parking, tech inspection and registration all categories from 8 AM till 8 PM
- Spectator gates open at 1 PM
- Open testing all Professional and Sportsman categories from 1 PM till 7 PM
- Professional (Extreme 10.5, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme) Qualifying Round 1 at 8:00 PM
- Jet Car and Wheelstander one run each at 9:30 PM
Saturday:
- Pit gates open at 8 AM
- Spectator gates open at 9 AM
- Event parking, final tech inspection and registration all categories from 8 AM till 10 AM
- Professional (Extreme 10.5, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme) Qualifying Round 2 at Noon
- Professional (Extreme 10.5, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme) Qualifying Round 3 at 2 PM
- Professional (Extreme 10.5, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme) Eliminations Round 1at 4 PM
- Pre-Race Ceremonies at 6:30 PM
- Final Eliminations (Extreme 10.5, Pro Nitrous and Pro Extreme) at 7 PM
- Jet Car and Wheelstander 2 runs each at 8 and 10:00 PM
- Secure Event at 10:30 PM
